Una perfecta señorita

Nothing in perfection allows her to be loved. So, why insist on the perfect if that takes us away from what we most long for?. For as long as she can remember, Claire Baxton knows that her goal in life is to be a perfect young lady: educated, pretty, refined, with the sole goal of getting a good husband. A good husband who supports the thriving family business and who can maintain the status of the Baxtons. Music classes, singing, visits to seamstresses, in short, everything a young society lady should be. But the dances follow one another, the seasons pass and Claire continues without getting engaged. Sir Andrew Hilton has managed to build a reputation in London society as a successful young banker. The only thing that matters to him is his work and climbing social positions. In that perfect life, however, something is missing: someone to take care of the house and give him children, that is, a wife. He then analyzes the families of society and concludes that Claire is the one to play that role, almost with the coldness with which it is evaluated to grant a loan. He then decides to woo her and ask for her hand. But things are not so simple because, under that mask of perfection, imperfections appear, small idiosyncrasies, which make the other a person who can be loved, hated, yearned for. The banker's investment and the fate of the perfect young lady are left aside: something new begins, an adventure to live together.
