Williams, William Carlos

William Carlos Williams was one of the most relevant and innovative American poets of the 20th century. Belonging to the generation of Wallace Stevens and Marianne Moore, his poetry seeks to emancipate itself from the classical Anglo-Saxon tradition to found a new language and at the same time expose another way of seeing the world, without the intermediation of ideas, attentive to the language of the street. A poet of love, of everyday life, of joy, of old age, of painting, always close and illuminating, Williams is an essential voice on the horizon of current poetry. In this volume we collect his most important works in the excellent translations of Edgardo Dobry, Michael Tregebov and Juan Antonio Montiel.
