Poemas de las Letras Universales

Ruiz Casanova, José Francisco (ed.)

The History of Literature has no homeland, although it does have diverse languages, and it is the translation that brings about that metempsychosis, that transmigration that makes what is foreign our own or, at least, creates the illusion of understanding it (of reading it) as our own. Nor, in short, do languages have a homeland. The world is a little smaller, a little more acceptable, a little more understandable and a little more acceptable if translation exists. "Poemas de las Letras Universales" is an anthology of poems written in languages other than Spanish and translated into said language: it is an anthology built from the work of more than a hundred translators who, with their volume or volumes edited in the Letras Universales collection, have contributed to building this title.
