Nosotros no ahorcamos a nadie

In this age in which knowledge is simplified and disseminated through labels, lists with "the most" and "the best", headlines, memes and few characters, in this age in which lightness and passing, reading Unai Elorriaga is a gift that I wanted to share with this edition of We do not hang anyone. Elorriaga's writing possesses many of the virtues that a good part of contemporary literature lacks: depth, singularity, care in each word, in each syntactic construction, a vast literary knowledge that, however, is not expressed with pedantry but rather an original sense of humor filters through its pages, sometimes ironic and caustic but never fierce. Elorriaga writes outside of fashion and hectic times and at the same time touches on issues that directly and deeply affect us. Or at least they should.
