No espero que me conozcas
Jurado, Julio
Anselmo Lobo, narrator and protagonist of this story, pushes us to see first-hand the petty and not very literary "I" that we carry inside. The result is a satire on autofiction where biography, memory and recollections are crudely revealed in an insensitive, puerile and always unfair society. In I don't expect you to know me, Julio Jurado ironically mixes the noir genre with others that openly collide in the narrative, causing a suffocating climate of absurd, anguishing and dreamlike situations, grotesquely dealing with the psychology of his characters. Serial killer, superhero, spouse of an uncertain morality, the protagonist is a mediocre writer in his fifties who reveals to us without hesitation a period of profound madness and personal radicalism in his meager and flawed literary circle, which makes this story a farce, in an allegory about writing itself and its methods.
