Los poderosos
la rebelión de las élites mundiales
López Herrador, Marcos
The Cold War forced destroyed Europe to become an industrialized and prosperous region, equipped with a welfare state that would distance workers from any inclination towards communism. But in May 1968, the youth who had benefited the most from all that prosperity rose up against the system from clearly pro-communist positions, and the oil crisis of 1973 put in check what many considered the economic miracle of the "thirty glorious years." ". Then, the Chicago School had the opportunity to make its ideology hegemonic, and Neoliberalism ended up imposing itself in highly developed countries, such as Great Britain with Margaret Thatcher or with Ronald Reagan in the United States. On the other hand, the fall of the Berlin Wall was the opportune occasion to implement globalist liberalism, causing a change in model that gave rise to the dominant elite to appropriate the immense resources destined for the welfare state. For its part, communist thought had also evolved. Gramsci, Lukacs and the Frankfurt School established the foundations of what has come to be called the "cultural battle", and the old Marxism gives way to neo-Marxism, which stops considering the worker as a revolutionary subject and focuses its attention on minorities, victims. of any historical or social oppression, applying in practice the guidelines of Laclau and Derrida, so that social democrats do not lose authority on the social map. Thus we arrive at the world elite, dedicated to its particular revolution through a financial hypercapitalism that dominates the market, technology, the economy and, as a consequence, the citizens, and also the new communists, although they do not know it, to destroy what exists and build a world.
