La flor, A mi madre, poesía dispersa e traducións
Castro, Rosalía de
Angueira, Anxo
(ed.)
After "Cantares gallegos" (1863), "Follas novas" (1880) and "En las orillas del Sar" (1884), this installment, which collects the rest of Rosalía de Castro's poetic production, ends up completing a lyrical set extraordinary that makes the author a contemporary referent of European literature. "La flor" (1857), "A mi madre" (1863) and the set of his scattered poetry and translations, among which there are real poetic treasures, enrich and complete a project of solid scope and have just outlined a figure with surprising contributions unique and unrepeatable of Galician and Spanish letters. Anxo Angueira, professor at the University of Vigo, writer and essayist, in addition to his studies on Méndez Ferrín ("The spiral in the mirror. Brittany, Esmeraldina and the Galician literary system"), has been focusing his research on the Resurgence (Rosalía de Castro, Curros Enríquez and Fernández Morales) and in their origins (Father Sarmiento). This critical edition of "La flor, A mi madre, poesía dispersa e translativos" offers, in addition to a long introductory study, a detailed repertory of notes on the texts and detailed comments on each of the poems.
