Inteligencia emocional

Emotions have traditionally been presented as something opposed to rational thinking, as if they were something that we should keep out of the way if we wanted to make the right decisions. However, for some time now, research in psychology and neuroscience has shown that the reality is precisely the opposite: the correct management of our emotions is a fundamental ingredient for the proper functioning of our cognitive abilities and for our psychological well-being. That is, in essence, the idea behind the concept of emotional intelligence, a term popularized by David Goleman, although the original theory had been formulated a few years earlier by the American psychologists Peter Salovey and John D.
