Historia de los perdedores
de los neandertales a las víctimas de la globalización
Íñigo Fernández, Luis
They say that history is always written by the victors and, in doing so, they leave the losers out, ignore them or treat them in such a way that they provoke contempt and even hatred. The past must be narrated as it was, or at least as the historian, in view of his sources, believes it was, without mortgages of ideas or interests, from honesty and intellectual rigor. And doing so requires giving a voice to those who have been deprived of it and listening to at least their version of events to build a balanced account of our events as a species. History of the losers does not talk about wars or battles; It speaks of people, peoples and towns. Heretics and foreigners, madmen and outcasts, witches and beggars parade through its pages; but also disinherited kings, dreamers at the wrong time, rebels without a cause, lovers of the forbidden, walkers without a path... and he intends, above all, to tell the story in another way, different from the traditional one. As Nietzsche wrote: "We need history, but we need it in a different way than the pampered loafer in the gardens of learning".
