Florecemos en un abismo

"Soy / apenas / un hombre que trata de respirar / por los poros del lenguaje. / Un estigma, / a veces un intruso, / en todo caso alguien fuera de papel". These words from a poem by Rafael Cadenas tell us about someone for whom the relationship with language is organic, vital, essential, but at the same time arduous and difficult. And they also speak to us of a state of consciousness in which an existential plenitude bordering on wisdom has been reached, where simulations and impostures have been left behind, and they have chosen to live "off paper". Reaching that status, however, has been the result of a long journey, full of uncertainties and trial and error, that began more than six decades ago.
