The main theme of this book is our country, the country of the Basque language, the wonderful country of the Basque people, our Basque country. I have always been attracted and fascinated by the Basque language and the Basque Country, and they have been my passion since I was young; passion, hobby and profession together. I have to admit that I have been very lucky in this, because I have been able to live my whole life through the paths of the Basque language. I once heard someone say "one makes one's own luck'', and maybe that's what happened to me. However, loving our language and our country has not led me to a narrow path, because I love and admire the peoples, cultures and languages of the wide world, and about them too, I have informed, researched and sometimes even written. Therefore, readers, in this book you will be able to see a section on ancient Sumer, and another on the Nahuatl culture. Moreover, it seems to me that when we write about them in Basque, we somehow bring them to us, that is, to the Basque world, we also make them our own. This is my belief, my philosophy, my view of humanity, and that is what you, the reader, will find in this book.
