ficción irredenta

Sánchez Jiménez, Antonio
Sorrentino, Fernando

Two authors separated by the Atlantic join their fictions to share a book of fantastic stories, although a priori very everyday, which gradually become entangled, wrapped in an exquisite sense of humor. The breath of Borges blows in both, although it reaches Fernando Sorrentino from very close, in the very city of Buenos Aires, and Antonio Sánchez Jiménez comes from a long way off and duly cooled by the rigors of the northern climate. In the ten stories of the first many losers appear facing the unusual. In the twelve of the second, and also in a "bizarre" way, the adventures of a fictional soccer club, the Dioce, founded by Manco Cápac, and in which the boots of "Flagelo Divino" created epic every time they hit the ball.
