El último hombre blanco

El último hombre blanco

Hamid, Mohsin

One morning, waking up, a man discovers that he has been transformed. During the night, Anders's skin has darkened, and the image returned to him by the mirror is that of a stranger. At first, he only shares the secret with Oona, an old friend. But soon more similar cases begin to be known. Everywhere there are people who have woken up looking different, not knowing how their family, friends and neighbors will react to seeing them. Some see these transformations as a change in the established power, which they must oppose to the last consequences. Many others, like Anders's father and Oona's mother, are torn between a feeling of loss and unease and one of deep love. As the bond between Anders and Oona grows stronger, these changes take on a different nuance: the chance to experience a kind of rebirth; the possibility of seeing ourselves, face to face, in a new light.
