El mar terra endins

Elisa, Sussanna, Sofia and Sílvia Viudeta watch, chewing on memories of love and bitterness, as Simon rests as well planted as ever in the coffin the family has prepared for him. All four have captivating stories with and about him, full of sorrows but also small pleasures, and listening to them we will be transported to the heart of a fabulous world. We are in Berd, a town in the north-east of Armenia, very close to the border, and we are suddenly surprised by the smell of the sea; but how can it be, if the sea is so far away? Where does all this inland sea come from? Perhaps it is simply the power of well-told stories.
