A propósito de Ferlosio
ensayo de interpretación cultural
Femenías Ferrà, Carlos
This book could have had other titles, but perhaps this one, About Ferlosio, more generic, is the most faithful to an essay concocted around a moral intimacy. Between literary and intellectual history, these pages interpret (recklessly, although carefully) the trajectory of Rafael Sánchez Ferlosio in light of the transformations that took place in a stretch that goes from the end of the 1940s to the beginning of the 1990s; hence, the protagonist of it jumps from the solo voice to the choir, sometimes broken off and others diluted in the vicissitudes of other sons of the winning elite of the Civil War. The trauma of an inherited guilt never subsided and imposed exorcisms that oscillated between rupture -always thunderous- and reformulation; between the sentimental attachment to models learned at home and the repudiation of the values ??that were adhered to. His work is inexplicable without those ghosts, which determined numerous obsessions in the shadows, such as meditation on history, tradition or, in short, on the thorny ways of recovering the past. There is more in these pages, but ultimately it may all go through the vicissitudes and ambitions of a thinker seized by guilt and the longing for perfection.
