Vida de un idiota y otras confesiones

Vida de un idiota y otras confesiones

Akutagawa, Ryunosuke

Made known outside of Japan mainly for his work Rashomon, popularized by the homonymous film (1950) by Akira Kurosawa, Ryunosuke Akutagawa had a tormented and marked existence, especially in his last years, by the fear of madness, an internal conflict to the which ended by suicide. Life of an idiot and other confessions brings together some of his best works, such as the one that gives title to the volume, "Gears" or "Tangerines", among others, and offers at the same time, an entrance door and an insurmountable panorama of the life and work of one of the pioneers, along with Natsume Soseki, of modern Japanese literature.
