Nocturno a Tánger

Barry, Kevin

It is late at night in the port of Algeciras and two men -one one-eyed, the other lame- await the arrival of the next ferry that will take them to Tangier. Who are they? What got you there? And most importantly: will that ship arrive to help them cross the strait so late at night? The two men talk. They are tired old drug dealers, experts in smuggling hashish from the coasts of Morocco to Andalusia. They share a long history of violence and adventures on the fringes of the law, plagued by romances and mutual betrayals, and at this point in life they already lack illusions and hopes. The ship seems to never arrive, and while the two men comment on past crimes and future plans, they scrutinize their surroundings, question other people waiting at the dock, they grow impatient. And during this nocturnal vigil, we learn about their story and that of Dilly, the daughter of one of them who disappeared beyond Tangier.
