Granted, climate change is the biggest challenge we face in the 21st century. We've heard it a thousand times, but what does that mean? How do I have to act in the midst of apocalyptic and blaming messages? Why don't I do anything when I know I should? Does it help me to change if the economic system does not change? What does a four-day workweek have to do with a plastic-wrapped onion? Dozens of news are crowded every day in newspapers, news and social networks. Catastrophic reports, youth mobilizations, extreme weather events. Also tips for a more sustainable life that, however, make us feel worse. Faced with the avalanche of information, we find ourselves powerless, overwhelmed, disoriented. And, at the same time, we need to do something, because this matters to us. Although we know that structures must be changed, the question always emerges: "And now what do I do?" This book is not a cookbook for low carbon living, nor will you find here a roadmap on the ecological transition for the next decades. You will not read in these pages a sample of the future horror that climate scenarios draw for us, nor will you discover a list of promising technological solutions. Because no, there is no magic solution to climate change that you can wield as a throwing weapon, nor a conspiracy that suddenly explains everything, exempting us from having to act. What you can find in these pages are tools to activate yourself and promote change in others, some of the roots of unsustainability and, of course, the scattered seeds of a future that we must take care of and work on. With time, with hope and with boldness.
