Vladimir

I Premio Lumen de Novela 2023

Martín, Leticia

Guinea sees her career as a professor at a university in the United States cut short after her relationship with a student much younger than her comes to light. Fleeing the scandal and looking for a new life, she arrives at the Buenos Aires airport, where she discovers that a general blackout has occurred. With the phone without a network, she is unable to locate her destination. An eerily kind man drives her around town and offers her to stay with him and her teenage son, Vladimir, while she continues the situation. Without fuel or food, the street becomes a dangerous scene: everyone against everyone. However, the greatest violence beats invisible inside the house where the three live together with two dogs. Guinea and Vladimir soon feel a complicity that puts them at odds with their father. Once again a cloudy desire that orders and produces chaos, a desire stronger than blood and love.
