Vet aquí una vegada la taverna Swan
Setterfield, Diane
One dark, foggy night, in the English village of Radcot, on the banks of the Thames, parishioners gather at the Swan Tavern to share drinks and stories full of popular wisdom. Six hundred years old, the hostel is famous for bringing together the best storytellers, but that night the nightly talk is interrupted by the arrival of a mysterious man, soaked in blood, carrying an unconscious girl in his arms. Before the man can give any explanation, he falls round to the ground. Meanwhile, upstream, two families are desperately looking for their daughters: no one has seen Alice Armstrong for twenty-four hours and her mother has committed suicide and Amelia Vaughan, who disappeared two years ago without leaving no trace, has yet shown signs of life.
