In Truths to the face, Pablo Iglesias addresses -sometimes for the first time, sometimes from a completely new angle- the most relevant episodes of his political and personal life during these "wild years", as he confesses in the subtitle. This impressive testimony begins with a detailed description of the escrache that he and his family suffered in his own house, the maximum exponent of the brutal harassment to which he has been subjected for years, and which he explains in this book in a stark manner. Iglesias also addresses untold episodes of his vice presidency, including the complex management of the pandemic, as well as the passage of Podemos through the Government, the great negotiations since 2016, the budget negotiations or the attempt to build a new direction of the State with ERC and Bildu, and difficult issues such as the purchase of the house in Galapagar, the differences with Errejón or the DINA case are not ignored. But, as he himself confesses, it is not a memoir, but a non-chronological succession of experiences, whose common thread is the continuous struggle between Podemos and the political and economic establishment, personalized in some judges, the sewers of the State and certain media.
