Some skirts will command more than cassocks. Velázquez will travel to that same Rome as ambassador of Felipe IV. He will do it in search of great works for his queen, and he will also find inspiration and love in the model of one of his most famous paintings. And, in between, a popular revolution, carnival, luxurious parties and the art of Bernini, and all this under the canopy of an Eternal City that lives moments of splendor.
