Usuras y figuraciones
poesía completa
Barral, Carlos
Jaume, Andreu
(ed.)
Before being an editor and memorialist, Carlos Barral was a poet. Often removed from the usual aesthetic currents, he created a world in which meditations on the civil and moral life of his time -the second half of the 20th century- were intertwined, he chose it for the Mediterranean landscape of his native Calafell, the travel, painting and, already in the last stretch of his work, fear and decadence on the nearby shores of death. In this edition of his complete poetry -in the care of Andreu Jaume and with an epilogue by the author's grandson, Malcolm Otero-, Lumen recovers the title with which Barral gathered his work in verse for the first time, Usuras y figuraciones, and proposes a new sequence of poems that shows their aesthetic evolution and allows the reader to enjoy one of the most personal poetics of contemporary Spanish literature.
