Juan Kruz Igerabide has - as he tells us in this book, he has always had - a tendency towards nature, a passion, which at the same time has been a playground, a stimulus, a lesson for everyday life. Starting from childhood memories ("There we are, father, mother and the three of us drinking from the fountain, I'm only four or five years old"), to the raw actuality that has recently moved us ("Here we humans are, in a corner of the taxonomic tree, thinking we are the leader of them all"), a kind of sentimental autobiography , a kind of generational narrative, a kind of natural history, Igerabide has composed, as usual, juicy passages, expansive reflections, full of incredibly sweet prose. As a contemporary Ovid would do, his brain always open to the other, never losing his critical spirit, knowing that this attitude is the only way to better understand the relationship between man and nature.
