Unha rosa é unha rosa

"Unha rosa é unha rosa (Unha comedia de medo)" is a tragicomedy where there is no lack of humor, nor the sour criticism of contemporary society. Old Rosa divides her inheritance in three parts, between her two nephews, Pololo and Adela, and the daughter of another niece who is already dead. Old Rosa is a TV follower of the detective Lieutenant Colombo's telefilms, from what we know of her Galician ancestry. The death of the old Rosa, in strange circumstances, will trigger a hilarious plot twist, a parody of the excessive ambition of today's society, which will end with an inevitable tragic hecatomb. The sparkling dialogues, the presence of today's media society (conceived as an emanating dialogue with television) and the most scathing criticism of the society of "comfort and ambition" make this comedy by Suso de Toro an absolutely recommended read.
