On one side of the conflict are the Antonova sisters, all of them beautiful, cunning and ruthless; and her mother, the discreet purveyor of premium narcotics known as Baba Yaga. On the other side, the influential Fedorov brothers serve their father, the crime boss nicknamed Koschei the Immortal, whose extortion duties dominate the shadows of magical Manhattan. After twelve years of fragile coexistence, a change in the interests of one of the families opens a gap in the deadlock that exists between them. When resentment drives both families to the brink, fate intervenes with a chance encounter and, in the wake of a resurrected conflict, everyone must choose a side. Each of the brothers fights to claim their rights, and frayed loyalties threaten to fragment both sides. As long as the enmity between the empires does not destroy them first.
