Una prueba del destino

Hamburg, 1913. The nurse Martha has three wonderful children with her great love, Paul, a nice apartment and even an invitation to the United States to visit her friend Milli. But the outbreak of World War I also impacts the city, and Martha's dreams for the future are shattered. Despite being forty-one years old, Paul is recruited and Martha has to take care of her family's survival during this difficult period. When Paul returns seriously injured after an enemy attack, his marriage is put to a severe test.
