When Stacey moved to Willow Creek to care for her ailing mother, she knew her life would be on hiatus for a while. The truth is that years have passed now, and although she loves to spend her summers serving drinks and flirting with customers at the town's medieval fair, she has other expectations for the future. For this reason, she sets a clear objective: to have her life resolved before the fair next year. Perhaps she even by then has found her better half. Fantasizing about love, it never crossed Stacey's mind that her summer crush, Dex MacLean, might be a candidate. Sure, he's very attractive, especially when she's on stage with her band, but Stacey has never felt an emotional connection to him.
