Una encíclica sobre la paz en Ucrania

Una encíclica sobre la paz en Ucrania

Francisco, Papa

"A true encyclical on peace and for peace in Ukraine and in every place on earth". These are the words with which Pope Francis wanted to introduce the message contained in this book to the world, addressing all men and women of good will on the first anniversary of this "total war" in Europe since the end of World War II, and ten years after his election as Pope. With the collaboration of the vaticanista Francesco Antonio Grana, the Pontiff has compiled all the heartfelt, insistent and repeated requests of him. One after another, these interventions underline the duty to be men and women of peace, because no one, in any way, can feel alien or indifferent to the horrors of war. And if the objective is "just peace", then no one can deny that the arms market must be put an end to, that social injustices must be overcome, that cultural differences must not become a reason for hatred and that we must not put on the negotiating table, under no circumstances, the threat of a nuclear conflict. War is a path of death that only gives some the illusion of being winners, but with it, we are all defeated.
