Ernest's relief when his father commits suicide will be short-lived. He will soon discover that the wounds from his past, those he believed were forgotten, are more open than ever. The opportunity to live in a real house, as he calls the house he inherits, revives the desire that has accompanied him since he was a child: to form an ideal family. However, the inability to understand his mother and his wife, who insist on taking control of their lives, the constant influence of his father and the reappearance of an old love will shake the foundations of his present, those on which that Ernest intends to build his new and idyllic reality.
