Un haz de naciones
el Estado y la plurinacionalidad en España (1830-2017)
Domènech, Xavier (1974- )
A bundle of nations seeks answers to the greatest democratic and territorial crisis in our history since the end of Francoism, from different angles: that of a Catalan who has not defended the independence of Catalonia, but a project of national recognition of the itself, and thus also a new conception of Spain; that of an activist who has explored the need to seek new constitutive moments for Catalonia and Spain, in the knowledge that the accumulation of bankruptcies in the system is probably not avoidable without radical reformism or a new beginning; and that of a historian, a fact that profoundly marks the gaze of this book. From the conviction that everything we have experienced in this last decade is only a prologue, the text addresses burning issues such as the past, present and future relationship between Catalonia and Spain; the debate on sovereignty (s); the territorial problem and plurinationality from a historical and comparative perspective; the crisis of legitimacy of the political system in recent years, and the emergence of new political projects and their evolution, to finally draw up different proposals that can inaugurate new ways out of current political, democratic and national crises.
