Un año en la vida de Johnsey Cunliffe

Young Johnsey Cunliffe, the only child of an Irish farming couple, is harassed and teased every holy day by Eugene Penrose and his cronies, former classmates now unemployed. After burying his beloved father, Johnsey only wants peace of mind and to be left alone, but he does not stop receiving unexpected visitors. The brick boom has reached the town and local farmers and businessmen want to buy the requalified farm land from him. However, the Cunliffe boy does not want to part with what has belonged to his family for generations, and his refusal to sell will be the talk of envious neighbors and will lead to endless problems.
