Un ángulo me basta
visiones pedagógicas
Calabuig, Ernesto
(ed.)
It is not an ordinary pedagogy manual. We start from the idea that the authors that are part of this book are "personalities", authorities, who have something special or their own to say and contribute, people who have reached an "ANGLE", a learning, or a particular wisdom and valuable over the years. That angle that defines well the quote from the classic poem: "An angle is enough for me...". (Moral Epistle to Fabio, by Andrés Fernández de Andrada, 17th century). It seems inevitable (and highly desirable) that those who write for this project tell us about their special PATH, and what has brought them here, up to the present moment, where they have something valuable or different to say. That is to say: why did they start doing what they do, what were their origins, their "quality leaps" or simply the chances or coincidences (a teacher, an experience...) that "opened their eyes" to achieve their "special look", again: its particular angle. This choral book implies an attempt at PEDAGOGY; The authors, each an expert in their profession and field of knowledge, talk about what they would do if they started again, what they would do and what not, if they would make the same mistakes again and explain what their experience has taught them to address different issues . Something crucial and that the experts who write here, whether it is the world of plastic arts, teaching, philosophy, dance, or sports... is that they reach a point in their careers where it seems that they feel or that they are able to EXPLAIN WITH SIMPLICITY what is most difficult. There is a close or informative component after years and years of academic, classic, demanding, strict work... talking about that feeling, that detachment that allows you to breathe and transmit to others perhaps from a detail, from something concrete. Talk about the beauty and enjoyment of SHARING KNOWLEDGE and experiences as you mature. The passage of time, the fact of getting old, brings many physical problems, etc., there is something beneficial that the years give and that is THE TRUE LEARNING of their careers and their lives. Teaching that they could very well transmit.
