Ucrania / Donbass
una renovada Guerra Fría
Hutin, Ignacio
Ukraine is a divided country. Since the dissolution of the Soviet Union and Ukraine's independence in 1991, the east and south of the country are largely pro-Russian while the west and north are pro-Western. Russian is spoken in the east, identity is linked to industry, to cities, to the Russian Orthodox Church. On the contrary, in the west the Ukrainian language predominates and the identity is linked to agriculture and the countryside.
