Tutankamon
el descobriment de la tomba
Roca, M. Carme
After years of pursuing his dream, archaeologist Howard Carter manages to find the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun in 1922. Ibrahim, one of the excavation workers, is not happy about the discovery: it implies the fulfillment of a threat that puts his family in danger, especially his son Ahmed. The day Ahmed turns nine, his grandfather, Mohamed, gives him a very special gift: sandals that according to him belonged to Tutankhamun. Will it be true? The grandfather assures that yes, that they have passed from generation to generation throughout the centuries. And that it is a secret that they must keep. The lives of Ahmed and the child pharaoh bear certain parallels: motherless children, sickly... Perhaps it is because of his grandfather's stories, but Ahmed is fascinated by Ancient Egypt. And more so now that the tomb has been discovered, which, on the other hand, the grandfather had always believed that he was there.
