Baltasar, Eva
A woman with suicidal impulses protects herself from the outside world. She doesn't allow anyone to get too close to her, and yet she dedicates herself intensely to sex with other women, to literature and to art. The cook of an old merchant ship, accustomed to loneliness, provisionality and fleeting relationships, falls in love with a woman, abandons the sea, agrees to live within four walls and becomes involved in the assisted pregnancy and education of a child. An archaic girl trapped in modern life flees to the countryside and settles in a completely isolated house. There, surrounded by nothingness, instinct is sharpened, consciousness is altered and a transformation is brewing. Three women, three voices, three bodies, three lives, three wild novels that make up an electrifying triptych about the limits of desire and pleasure, sex, love, freedom and loneliness.
