Travesía

A paper boat sails in the middle of the ocean. During his long journey, he meets the strangest beings, passes through mangroves and faces a devastating storm. He crosses the sea impassively, sees the northern lights, steers in front of a huge oil rig, plays with seals, saves himself from the sinking of a submarine and ends up in a city, where his only passenger goes out to a jetty. Peter Van den Ende makes his debut as an author with this graphic novel, a spectacle without words, in which he brings to life a strange and wonderful universe in black and white, a world populated by exuberant plants and highly unlikely creatures: the mysterious underwater habitat, fountain inexhaustible inspiration for the most classic science fiction, such as Jules Verne. This mythical journey is a wonderful allegory of life. The conviction that, like a paper boat, any person, despite his insignificance in the face of nature and the great human historical scale, can still go a long way.
