Travesía del conocimiento

As Manuel Ávarez Torneiro knew very well, the true legacy of a poet is not bombastic words or great stylistic architecture, but the achievement of fossilizing the essential and, thanks to language, endowing it with eternity. And so he did in "Travesía del conocimiento", his last book of poems in Spanish. A work in which the verses dialogue with his other creative facet, illustration. A double recognition for this consecrated author, since not only is an unpublished collection of poems by a referential voice rescued from oblivion, but, for the first time, his plastic work is given deserved attention.
