In an advanced neurology center, patients are offered to leave their minds blank for twenty-four hours, cleanse the brain of all the toxins that travel through the neuronal circuits causing complexes and depression, and thereby recover psychological balance. A spiritual cleansing that leaves those who dare to try it in a state of well-being that is the envy of everyone. But the possibilities of neuronal restoration, a machine that reads the entire brain code and stores it in special high-density biological disks, are completely unpredictable... This is the starting point of the novel by José Luis Manzanares, with the one in which he tests himself as an author to try to find out what happens in the mind of a writer when he writes. The result of this fun intellectual exercise is a convoluted story, sometimes with overtones of madness, well plotted, with a rich vocabulary and variety of narrative resources, with a background of social criticism and an imagination taken to the limit, to the point that the characters come to life even outside of fiction.
