Tragedias

We bring together in a special case the tragedies of the most important writer in the English language and one of the most famous in universal literature. The tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark: A young heir with intellectual whims and a bit of a gentleman, Prince Hamlet faces the worst of ghosts, that of the succession. With the death of a father to whom no ties of affection or mutual trust have been united and he lost his trusting love for his mother, Hamlet receives an inalienable burden: the usurped crown of Denmark. The Tragedy of King Lear: King Lear believes that his death is near. To alleviate his old age and avoid future disputes, he divides the kingdom between his eldest daughters, Goneril and Regan, and banishes his youngest, Cordelia. Dispossessed of his power, Lear is repudiated by his two chosen daughters and will suffer a madness, physical first, then mental. War and the death of family members are an unavoidable horizon.
