Menéndez Flores, Javier
Madrid, 1981. A couple of police inspectors investigate the fatal accident of a completely naked young woman whose autopsy reveals terrible injuries prior to the accident. Soon after, two girls of similar ages disappear. All three were last seen at nightclubs. Thus begins an absorbing criminal intrigue, spanning two decades, in which the action and psychology of the characters masterfully intertwine. The Madrid at the end of the Transition, where Franco's fierce methods were still alive, contrasts with that of an already established democracy, although exposed to the dangers of the globalized world. A novel that does not give the reader respite thanks to its rhythm, suspense and violence, with an epic ending, as surprising as it is devastating, that reflects on the complexity of the human being and its darkest areas, but also on the all-powerful force of love .
