Todo lo carga el diablo
Prado, Benjamín
In 1936, three Spanish athletes attended the Winter Olympics held in Nazi Germany. Three young lovers of skiing and excursions to the mountains, who were studying at university and passionately living the Madrid of the Second Republic. When their world disappeared, their names were erased, for ideological or moral reasons. Nothing was heard from one of them. Neither alive nor dead. And it is Juan Urbano who, many years later, the son of that disappeared woman orders to solve the case. His research reveals an intricate history of medical scandals, psychiatric hospitals turned into prisons and manipulated biographies that runs through the Spain of the Residence for Young Ladies and the Institute-School, that of the playwrights and comedians of La Codorniz. With it, an addictive police plot, sometimes of terror, is unleashed, which leads to an unimaginable end. For Juan Urbano, in addition, another resurrection takes place, when the woman who had broken his heart returns to his life and who now seems ready to make him happy. But we know that everything is carried by the devil.
