Todo el odio que tenía dentro
Rocha, Servando
At the beginning of the sixties, after the premiere of West Side Story, a generation of kids from the outskirts of Madrid, full of anger and with stilettos on their boots, takes to the streets and imitates the gangs of the film. They dance in the corridors of the cinema, assault passersby, steal cars, flee from the police and carry out real pitched battles with other gangs. "The mysterious suburb of the Ojos Negros, which everyone was talking about", says Moncho Alpuente, "was at the top of the list of bad boys". Ángel Luis -a sort of traditional Cheyenne who plays an extra in cowboy and Indian films-, the absolute leader of the Ojos Negros, is a colossal figure feared by all. Dum Dum Pacheco, a juvenile delinquent, legionary and member of the gang, becomes one of the most famous boxers, and also dangerous, who gets out of prison and fights under the surveillance of agents. From his life ("Then he only had three idols: Hernán Cortés, Franco and Elvis Presley", he says) we discover a greater story: the untold story of brutalist Spain, from the post-war period and the Franco regime to the arrival of democracy.
