You decide where you want to go", says the protagonist of All the bicycles I had, a woman who, whether on a Chopper, a Mountain, a Diamant, a Giant or an Aurorita , meanders freely through the streets of Quito, Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Buenos Aires or Paris, stringing together the different chapters of his life. In this moving graphic novel, Powerpaola's most recent work, bicycles are not only extensions of herself, but also the muses that take her to the past, that dark and abysmal river through which loves, losses, friendships, brotherhoods, tragedies, accidents and disappointments. Contemplated from the saddle, and written and drawn as if they were the traces left by all those bicycles in their path, the facts acquire their true meaning and become small revelations of destiny. That of the protagonist, of course, but also that of the reader.
