Arethusa Clayton was always a very special woman... used to getting her way. She now she is gone, but she left precise instructions of her last wishes. Rather than being buried on the wealthy East Coast of the United States, where she and her late husband raised their children, Arethusa wants her ashes to be scattered in a remote part of Ireland, specifically on some hills facing the sea and alongside to a castle. All Arethusa explained to her daughter Faye hers is that she grew up in a humble family and that she left Ireland, alone, to start a new life in America, as so many people did in the days of adversities. But who was her family? Where are you now? And who is the mysterious benefactor of an important part of her will? Arethusa has died and has no close family who can tell her story. Or at least, not in that part of the world. So Faye decides to travel to the picturesque town of Ballinakelly, ready to fulfill her mother's wish and discover all the secrets hidden there.
