This volume brings together five stories subtly connected by some shared themes: old age, the evocation of the past or time, which acquires a non-linear dimension and a sense of displacement, of estrangement, which in one way or another accompanies the characters. The protagonists of these stories are a rich man who camouflages himself playing a peculiar role, a music teacher who receives a visit from a former student, a teacher who travels to a city to give a lecture on Kafka and there he meets a woman which leads him to think of another, a Jewish writer who shares a car and conversation with a young poet and a teacher who attends the filming of a film based on a novel that recreated an episode lived in his youth...
