Terremotos musicales

The 21st century has filled us with new questions. We do not know if we have passed the 20th, if we are still in the same situations as then, if we are in others or if we have even gone backwards. The same thing happens in music. The river of western music and its tributaries and derivatives has now become a vast delta. Other rivers open up to other deltas, casting doubt on Western hegemony and inviting us to travel flows from other latitudes and to cross seas and oceans. Digitization, audibility, narrative, production, identity, market, simultaneity, territories and networks are words, among others, that we must face if we want to understand the music of our time and the use we make of it. This collective volume aims to address the endless questions and sound phenomena that characterize these years.
