Terral

Sarria, Sergio

Malaga, August 2018. During a terrible week of heat and terral wind, a tragic event shakes the city; the appearance of the corpse of a young Maghrebi beheaded on whose forehead they have engraved the word "traitor" written in Arabic. After the first investigations, the judge in charge of the case believes that an Islamist attack is being prepared in the capital of the Costa del Sol, especially after finding a truck in the name of the victim, with a Koran inside, in the surroundings of the central Larios street. An extremely delicate case that will fall on Lucía Gutiérrez, a Civil Guard lieutenant who has serious problems with her self-esteem, her alcohol and a teenage daughter who is beginning to be a headache. A personal life on the verge of falling apart and to which she will barely be able to spend time when days later a second body of a Moroccan, with a jihadist past, is found murdered with the same method. From then on, Lieutenant Gutiérrez must fight against her self-destructive instincts, discover if the two deaths are related and what is really behind these murders. Terral is a border thriller that takes place between Malaga, Melilla, Algeciras and Brussels and in which all its protagonists will have to choose whether to cross the moral border that separates good from evil, fully aware that whatever they do they will never be able to go back.
