Robert Camp, a thirty-four-year-old unemployed man from Barcelona, ??without much hope and with a lonely temperament, is told that he has been given the inheritance of a relative he had never heard of: a isolated mansion near New Orleans, in the US state of Louisiana. He has little to lose, so he decides to spend the little money he has left on the trip to the city of jazz, black magic and Carnival. There he is immersed in an inexplicable pandemic that will make him feel even more alone on the planet, surrounded by dolls and with the mission of saving the world.
