This volume aims to provide a panoramic vision of theater in the Hispanic field in the 21st century. To do this, it stops at the study of the scenic event: the relationships between the works and the audiences, dramatic literature, direction, dramaturgy, liminal proposals (that hybridize artistic genres), the scenic space and the interpretive work. Finally, it delves into the relations between Latin America and Spain, as well as those, in turn, they maintain with the European scene. In this sense, each of the chapters seeks to offer a cartography that, with its focus on Spain, opens towards the performing arts in Latin America and highlights the most decisive voices and poetics, located in a context of continuous round trips and without which creation could not be understood at the current moment.
